  • Consent: Where you have given clear, affirmative consent for us to process your data for specific purposes (e.g., marketing emails, cookie consent for non-essential cookies).

  • Legal Obligation: Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.

5. Tracking Technologies, Pixels & Third-Party Advertising

We use tracking pixels, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies from multiple advertising and analytics platforms. These technologies help us measure ad performance, build targeted audiences, retarget visitors, and attribute conversions.

5.1 Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel on our Site. The Meta Pixel is a piece of JavaScript code that enables us to track visitor activity on our Site and attribute that activity to our Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.

Data Collected:

  • HTTP headers (IP address, browser information, page location, referrer, and user agent)
  • Pixel-specific data (Pixel ID, Facebook Cookie)
  • Button click data, form field names and values
  • Page metadata and content
  • Hashed personal data (email, phone number, name, location) for Advanced Matching

Purposes:

Conversion tracking, retargeting, audience building, lookalike audience creation, ad optimization, and measurement.

Data Sharing:

Data collected by the Meta Pixel is transmitted to Meta Platforms, Inc. and processed in accordance with Meta’s Data Policy. We may share hashed customer data with Meta through Custom Audiences and Advanced Matching features.

5.2 TikTok Pixel

We use the TikTok Pixel on our Site with several enhanced data-sharing features enabled, as described in detail below.

Automatic Advanced Matching (AAM)

We have enabled TikTok’s Automatic Advanced Matching (AAM) feature. This means the TikTok Pixel automatically scans customer information entered on our website to match web events to TikTok user accounts. The following categories of personal information may be automatically collected and shared with TikTok:

  • Email address (hashed before transmission)
  • Phone number (hashed before transmission)
  • Name (first and last, hashed before transmission)
  • Address information: basic location details including city, state, zip code, and country. Street-level information is not collected. (Hashed before transmission.)
  • External ID: an identifier representing you on our platform, such as a customer ID, order ID, or loyalty card number. (Hashed before transmission.)

To help protect your privacy, sensitive information is cryptographically hashed using SHA-256 before it is shared with TikTok. However, please be aware that TikTok uses this hashed data to match your web activity with your TikTok account for ad targeting and conversion attribution purposes.

First-Party Cookies

We have enabled TikTok’s first-party cookie feature. This allows data from our website’s first-party cookies to be shared with TikTok to improve measurement accuracy and help reach more users through TikTok’s advertising platform.

Expanded Data Sharing

We have enabled TikTok’s Expanded Data Sharing feature. This allows the TikTok Pixel to collect additional information from our website, including:

  • Page content: meta tags, product details, and other on-page content
  • Visitor actions: clicks, button interactions, time spent on pages and elements
  • Website performance: page load speed, responsiveness, and technical performance metrics

This data may be used by TikTok to improve ad delivery and campaign performance on TikTok’s platform. You can view all data collected by the TikTok Pixel using the TikTok Pixel Helper browser extension.

TikTok Data Processing:

Data collected through the TikTok Pixel is transmitted to TikTok Inc. (for U.S. users) or TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited (for UK/EEA users) and processed in accordance with TikTok’s Privacy Policy. TikTok may transfer data internationally, including to servers in the United States, Singapore, and other jurisdictions.

5.3 Google Ads and Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Ads conversion tracking tags and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our Site.

Data Collected:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address (anonymized in GA4 by default for EEA users)
  • Pages visited, session duration, bounce rate, and user flow
  • Conversion events (purchases, sign-ups, page views)
  • Google click identifiers (GCLID)
  • Remarketing audience data

Purposes:

Conversion tracking, remarketing, audience insights, campaign optimization, and website analytics.

Data Sharing:

Data is transmitted to Google LLC and processed under Google’s Privacy Policy. Google may use this data to personalize ads across its network. We may also use Google’s Enhanced Conversions feature, which sends hashed first-party customer data to Google for improved conversion measurement.

5.4 LinkedIn Insight Tag

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag on our Site.

Data Collected:

  • IP address, device and browser information
  • Referring URL and page URLs visited
  • Timestamps of page views and actions
  • LinkedIn member demographics (job title, industry, company size, seniority) in aggregate

Purposes:

Conversion tracking, retargeting, website demographics, and campaign analytics.

Data Sharing:

Data is transmitted to LinkedIn Corporation and processed under LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy. LinkedIn may associate your Site visits with your LinkedIn account for ad targeting purposes.

5.5 Reddit Pixel

We use the Reddit Pixel on our Site.

Data Collected:

  • IP address and device/browser information
  • Pages visited and conversion events
  • Click identifiers from Reddit ad clicks
  • Hashed email addresses for conversion matching

Purposes:

Conversion tracking, retargeting, audience building, and campaign optimization.

Data Sharing:

Data is transmitted to Reddit, Inc. and processed under Reddit’s Privacy Policy.

5.6 Additional Tracking Technologies

We may use additional tracking pixels, tags, or similar technologies from other advertising and analytics platforms not specifically listed above. These technologies serve similar purposes: measuring conversions, building retargeting audiences, and optimizing advertising performance. When we deploy new tracking technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

6.1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and activities. We also use local storage and session storage, which serve similar functions within your web browser.

6.2 Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies: Required for the Site to function properly. These cannot be disabled without impairing core functionality. They include session management, authentication, shopping cart persistence, payment processing, and security cookies.

Functional Cookies: Enable enhanced functionality such as remembering your preferences, form data, calendar bookings, chat widget settings, and address autofill.

Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our Site by collecting information about pages visited, time on site, traffic sources, and user journeys. This includes Google Analytics cookies.

Advertising/Targeting Cookies: Used to deliver relevant advertisements, track ad performance, build retargeting audiences, and measure conversions across advertising platforms including Meta, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, and Reddit.

6.3 Detailed Cookie Table

The following table provides details about the specific cookies used on our Site. Cookies with variable names (containing location IDs, session IDs, or other dynamic values) are denoted with brackets.

This table is not exhaustive. Additional cookies with variable names (containing location IDs, funnel IDs, session IDs, or calendar IDs) may be set as you interact with different features of the Site.

6.4 Managing Cookies

Our Site uses an opt-out model for advertising cookies. Advertising and analytics cookies load by default when you visit the Site. You may opt out of advertising tracking at any time through any of the following methods:

  • On-Site Opt-Out: Click the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of any page, or visit https://go.pezlogic.com/do-not-sell. This sets a cookie (pezlogic_optout) on your browser that instructs our Site not to load advertising tracking pixels on future visits.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a valid opt-out. No additional action is required.
  • Browser settings: You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Instructions vary by browser; consult your browser’s help documentation for details.
  • Platform-specific opt-out tools: You may opt out of targeted advertising from each of our advertising partners individually. See Section 10.4 of this Policy for links.

When you opt out via our on-site mechanism or GPC, advertising pixels from Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and LinkedIn will not load, and Google Ads advertising features will be disabled. Basic website analytics (Google Analytics) will continue to operate in a limited, non-advertising capacity so we can understand aggregate traffic patterns.

Please note that the on-site opt-out is browser- and device-specific. If you clear your cookies or visit from a different browser or device, you will need to opt out again. Disabling essential cookies through your browser settings may impair core Site functionality, including the ability to complete purchases or access course content.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. However, under certain privacy laws (such as the CCPA/CPRA), the sharing of personal information with advertising partners for targeted advertising purposes may be considered a “sale” or “share.” We may share your information with the following categories of recipients:

7.1 Service Providers

  • Payment Processors: Stripe, PayPal, and Venmo process your payment transactions. They receive your payment details and billing information as necessary to complete your purchase. We do not store your credit card numbers.
  • Email Marketing Platforms: CourseCreator360 (internal email platform) and Klaviyo receive your email address, name, and engagement data to deliver marketing communications.
  • Course Delivery Platform: CourseCreator360 hosts our course content and receives your account, enrollment, and progress data.
  • Web Hosting and Infrastructure: Our hosting providers process data as necessary to deliver the Site.

7.2 Advertising and Analytics Partners

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram Pixel, Custom Audiences, Advanced Matching)
  • TikTok Inc. / TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited (TikTok Pixel, AAM, Expanded Data Sharing, First-Party Cookies)

  • LinkedIn Corporation (LinkedIn Insight Tag, Matched Audiences)
  • Reddit, Inc. (Reddit Pixel, Conversion API)

7.3 Legal and Safety Disclosures

7.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change by posting an updated Privacy Policy.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Specific retention periods include:

  • Account and transaction data: Retained for the life of your account plus 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Marketing data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Cookie data: Varies by cookie (see Cookie Table above); generally between 30 minutes and 2 years
  • Analytics data: Retained in aggregated/anonymized form indefinitely
  • Session attribution data: Some cookies have no expiry and persist indefinitely in local storage

9. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure payment processing through PCI-DSS compliant third parties, access controls, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction.

For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries not deemed to provide adequate protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), binding corporate rules of our service providers, or your explicit consent.

However, we do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals transmitted by your browser or browser extension. If we detect a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale/sharing of your personal information under applicable law, including the CCPA/CPRA.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not operated by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services. 16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy and, where required by law, provide additional notice (such as a prominent notice on our Site or an email notification). Your continued use of the Site or Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

  • Commercial information (purchase history, course enrollment, products considered)

Sale/Sharing:

We may “share” (as defined by the CCPA) personal information with advertising partners (Meta, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, Reddit) for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out as described in Section 10.4 and Section 19.

19. Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising & Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

PezLogic uses tracking technologies (pixels, cookies, and tags) from advertising partners including Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, and LinkedIn to measure advertising performance, build audiences, and deliver targeted advertising. These tracking technologies load by default when you visit our Site.

Under applicable U.S. state privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), and other applicable state privacy laws — you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes.

How to Opt Out

To exercise this right, you may use any of the following methods:

  • On-Site Opt-Out: Click the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link available in the footer of every page on our Site, or visit: https://go.pezlogic.com/do-not-sell
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or a browser extension transmits a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a valid opt-out request for the sale or sharing of personal information under applicable law. No additional action is required on your part.
  • Platform-Specific Opt-Outs: You may also opt out of targeted advertising directly through each advertising platform’s settings, as described in Section 10.4 of this Privacy Policy.
  • Email Request: Contact us at [email protected] to submit an opt-out request.

What Happens When You Opt Out

When you opt out via our on-site mechanism, a cookie (pezlogic_optout) is placed on your browser instructing our Site not to load advertising tracking pixels (Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and LinkedIn) on subsequent visits. Google Ads advertising features are also disabled. Basic website analytics (Google Analytics) will continue to operate in a limited, non-advertising capacity so that we can maintain Site functionality and understand aggregate traffic patterns.

When we detect a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser, advertising tracking pixels are automatically suppressed without any additional action required from you.

Important Notes

  • The on-site opt-out is browser- and device-specific. If you clear your cookies or visit from a different browser or device, you will need to opt out again.
  • Opting out of targeted advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads entirely. You may still see generic, non-targeted advertisements.
  • Essential cookies required for Site functionality (such as session management, payment processing, and security) are not affected by your opt-out choice.
  • We do not discriminate against you for exercising your opt-out rights. You will continue to have full access to our Site and Services.
